Elkhorn Baptist Church

Sister Amazie Terry was born in 1925 and had been on the battlefield of the Lord for many years. During her many years of service at Elkhorn, she was a member of the Missionary Ministry, the Golden Age Ministry, and Mother of the Church. Sister Terry's faithfulness and servitude transpired through her family, friends, and community. In the early morning of, July 18, 2026, God called home our Mother Amazie Terry at the age of 101 years old. We honor her and thank her for her service to Elkhorn.

​Deaconess Emeritus Mary Ida Flenoury Dixon (1933 - 2026)

​Deaconess Emeritus Mary F. Dixon was born February 28, 1933. She was a servant of the Lord and faithfully served Elkhorn Baptist Church for over 50 years in the capacity of Church Clerk, Deaconess, Missionary Ministry, the United Women of Faith Committee, and Chair of the Golden Age Ministry. She contributed to the church by spreading the gospel and serving as a Church Mother of Elkhorn. She was an educator, a confident, and friend throughout the church and community. On July 18, 2026, God called our Mother Mary F. Dixon home at the age of 93. We honor her and thank her for the legacy she left at Elkhorn.
